The Alliance is a 501 (c) (6) tax exempt professional membership organization. Membership dues are not tax deductible, but may be deductible as trade or business expenses if ordinary and necessary in the conduct of the taxpayer’s business. The estimated amount of membership dues allocable to nondeductible lobbying expenditures is 18%.
